The main problem is the pressure on new mothers when they see how quickly celebrity mothers lose those pounds after they have had a child, This is an unfair pressure to place on regular moms who do not have the facilities afforded those with fame when they want to show the world that weight loss after pregnancy is easy and quick!

This of course is not the normal situation for the average woman in the street who has many other things to sort out before any weight loss after pregnancy can even be considered. A great deal of strain is placed on a woman when she gives birth so initially she really should be looking at recovering by ensuring she maintains a healthy diet. This sort of diet will enable her to regain her strength and also improve her energy levels so it should not exceed 2,000 calories per day,the main constituents of her daily diet should be:

This will typically allow for a few of the mothers favorite foods which she should be allowed to enjoy after everything she has been through. No matter how busy you find yourself as a new mom, exercise is still important especially at this early stage as it will help build up your stamina and return the muscle tone you lost during the pregnancy. a new mother should enjoy the time spent exercising without the dread of it feeling like going to work.

It is best to start things relatively easily but do not expect that your weight loss after pregnancy as quickly as someone else as it is down to your own genetic makeup and how many pounds you gained during the pregnancy. Don’t forget that changes to your body will take place after you have given birth which will affect how quickly you will lose any pounds you have gained. The order of the day is that losing weight after pregnancy will be more consistent and healthy if it is achieved slowly but surely through a healthy diet and regular physical activity.

There is no need to rush as fat lost slowly, and muscle tone regained the same way, will be maintained more successfully. With careful planning, your weight and physical fitness level should improve back to its original state within a reasonable amount of time. Losing unwanted pounds after pregnancy is far from impossible and is within reach of all new moms although some women will hang on to the last few pounds they have to lose until they stop breastfeeding.
