Some people believe that these surgical procedures are as easily reversed as removing a wig but this is not true. Not only will your head may never look the same, you will require a number of surgical treatments. The hair transplant surgery is not a procedure you can try out on a “see if you like it basis,” and you should be wary of any doctor that promises a trial basis.

However, there are other surgeries that can be used in conjunction with it to achieve similar results. Patients should beware that these types of procedures generally cause more discomfort.
All the grafts may not survive following hair transplant surgery. The hope is that only a few will be lost and the overall result will not suffer. The reality is that often grafts do not survive despite all the effort involved.
Hair transplant treatments do not cost as much as you think: For example, you might reasonably spend 12,000 dollars on the treatment. For a person who has the procedure done at 30 and dies 40 years later, the transplant would cost an estimated 300 dollars per year. Many “low cost” treatments for hair loss cost much more money than per month. The surgery would be the cheaper route in the long run.
