Cancer As A Disease
By editor | July 20, 2007
There are various types of cancer. Their symptom is growth of cells and tissues differ in many aspects from the surrounding tissues. Cancer may occur in any living-being as all life-forms share same DNA and RNA blueprints and cell physiology. Hence the mechanism for cancer development and cancer treatment are same.
Cancer cells are almost identical to the cells of the organism from which they originate and have same but not ditto DNA and RNA. For this reasons only they are not easily detected by the immune system, especially if it is weaker. Cancer cells have greater ability of dividing faster and also their number of divisions is not restricted by telomeres on DNA which is the counting system for restricting division to 40-60. This results in formation of larges masses of tissues that may lead to disrupting the body functions because of destruction of organs or vital structures.
Because of alterations or mutation of DNA and/or RNA, cancer cells are formed from the normal cells. Such change may happen suddenly or they
may be persuaded by other factors like nuclear radiation, electromagnetic radiation, viruses, bacteria and fungi, parasites, heat, chemicals in the air, water and food, mechanical cell level injury, free radicals, growth and aging of DNA and RNA etc. all these can create alteration that in turn may cause cancer. Cancer is also called the Entropic Disease as it is linked with the growth of the organism to the level where the organism can’t correct this itself, but external interference is needed permitting the organism to come back to stable entropic state.
